Muita gente me pergunta por que raios o blog se chama Gypsy Pumpkin... Bem... É uma longa história.
Acredito que o Gypsy todo mundo entendeu... É de fato por causa da Gypsy Road. Agora o Pumpkin... Isso só eu sei.
São basicamente 2 motivos. O primeiro, menos forte, tem a ver com a história de Walt Disney. Assim como o Tom Keifer batizou a banda com esse nome por não ter nada a ver com rock, eu coloquei "abóbora" no blog por não ter nada a ver com Cinderella! Ou, pelo menos, com a banda... Vocês se lembram, na história, o que era a carruagem da Cinderella? SIM, ERA UMA ABÓBORA! E a fada madrinha transformou a abóbora em carruagem... E quando deu meia-noite, a carruagem voltou a ser uma abóbora! Seria mais ou menos por isso que escolhi abóbora, e não beringela, abobrinha ou pepino!
Não achou um motivo forte? Então vem o segundo:
Olha aí, na foto, ao lado do Tom Keifer? O que é aquilo ali mesmo? Não seria uma abóbora de halloween? QUANDO FOI MESMO QUE O TOM E O ERIC TROCARAM IDEIA PELA PRIMEIRA VEZ? Se não tivesse sido aquele halloween, o Cinderella talvez não tivesse sido formado, não tivesse a formação que tem atualmente, nem a história que tem.
Quando eu comecei a pesquisar sobre o Cinderella na internet (muito antes, mas muito antes mesmo de decidir escrever este blog), essa foi uma das primeiras fotos da vida anônima do Tom Keifer que eu vi. Ele deveria ter o que? Uns 15, 16 anos? Era muito menino ainda! Além disso, eu adoro gatos... E isso me deixou mais fanática ainda por essa foto!
Eu tinha uma série de nomes para o blog. The Last Mile Blog, Gypsy Fool (esse foi um dos que ficou pra final! kkkkkkkk), I Want Back What Has Gone , Heartbreak Blog, Shining Through the Rain, Lost in a Rock Fairy Tale ou simplesmente Rock Fairy Tale... mas eram nomes longos, ou pouco criativos... Aí eu estava olhando minhas milhões de fotos do Cinderella e topei com esta. Foi na hora que surgiu o Gypsy Pumpkin! Achei divertido também porque ninguém ia entender o porquê, diferente do Gypsy Fool, que era criativo, mas estava muito na cara!
Espero que vocês tenham entendido bem isso...

A bunch of people asks me why the hell this blog's name is Gypsy Pumpkin... Well... It's such a long story. I believe that the reason of "Gypsy" ev'rybody understood... It's really because of Gypsy Road. But "Pumpkin"... This I'm the only one who knows.
There are, basically, 2 reasons. The first, the weakest, is linked to Walt Disney fable. Tom Keifer named the band as Cinderella because this name has nothing about rock'n'roll, and I choose "pumpkin" 'cause it has nothing about Cinderella! Or, at least, with the band... Do ya remember, in the fable, what was Cinderella's carriage? YES, THAT WAS A PUMPKIN! And the pixie made it become a carriage... And when the clock tikked midnight, that carriage became a pumpkin again. It's supposed to be pumpkin because of this... And not choose eggplant, zucchini or cucumber!
I don't think it's a strong reason? Ok... check the pic above...
What do you see beside Tom Keifer? What's that? It's a halloween pumpkin, isn't it? WHEN DID TOM AND ERIC TALK FOR THE FIRST TIME? If it wasn't that halloween, maybe Cinderella wouldn't be formed, or wouldn't have these members and history.
When I started to research about Cinderella on internet (long time before decide to write this blog), this was one of the first pics of anonymous Tom Keifer's life that I have seen. He was supposed to be... what... 15, 16 years old? He was still a teen! And besides, I do love cats... And this made me most fanatic about that pic!
